Hyperpigmentation can be treated with a variety of methods, including:

Topical treatments

These include skin lightening agents like hydroquinone, retinoids, tranexamic acid, topical steroids, azelaic acid, and ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). 

Natural oils and extracts

These include rosehip, jojoba, argan oil, turmeric, green tea, licorice, and mulberry. 

Chemical peels

These are a procedural intervention that can be effective in treating hyperpigmentation.
